US President Donald Trump issued an order on 16 October waiving new tariffs, sanctions and restrictions provided for in the Graham Act. The White House published the text; Reuters also reported the decision on 17 October.<\/p>\n
Section 4 explicitly preserves existing sanctions under other executive orders addressing harmful Russian government activities. The new law\u2019s waivers remain until a subsequent decision by the president or relevant administration officials. The order therefore does not remove all US sanctions against Russia.<\/p>\n
