The event is scheduled to begin on <strong>31 October 2026 at 1:00 p.m.<\/strong> at the Momina Krepost complex in the Ksilifor area.<\/p>\n<p>The event is organised by Zonta Club Veliko Tarnovo and Etar Chess Club, according to local newspaper Yantra DNES on 21 October. Salimova is listed as a guest on the opening day; the announcement does not say she will compete.<\/p>\n<h2>Competition for young chess players<\/h2>\n<p>The tournament is aimed at children and young players in the under-8, under-10, under-12 and under-14 age groups. It offers participants an opportunity to compete and gain experience, with different age brackets included in the programme.<\/p>\n<p>Veliko Tarnovo has an active chess community, and events of this kind let children meet established Bulgarian players.
