Emergency crews replaced a damaged section of the water pipe beneath Nikola Gabrovski Boulevard in Veliko Tarnovo late on 30 October 2026. The break near the Siko store interrupted water supplies across much of the city.<\/p>\n
According to Bolyarski Novini, citing ViK Yovkovtsi and Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, workers finished replacing roughly four metres of pipe shortly after 23:30 on 30 October. They then began backfilling the excavation.<\/p>\n
Repairing the broken pipe is an important step, but it does not mean that water service has been restored simultaneously to every address. As of the early hours of 31 October, the newsroom has not independently confirmed that supplies have fully returned to all affected neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n
Residents still without water should follow the latest announcements from the water utility and municipality. Following a prolonged outage, network pressure may return gradually, with exact timings depending on the condition of the system.<\/p>\n
