NSI: Retail trade rises 5.9% year on year
Preliminary figures for August 2026.

Retail turnover at constant prices rose 0.3% from July, according to NSI’s seasonally adjusted August figures. The calendar-adjusted annual increase was 5.9%.
Month on month, fuel turnover rose 2.2%, while food, beverages and tobacco fell 0.4%. The figures are preliminary and exclude sales of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
