NSI reports 7,968 new legal units in the third quarter
Registrations fell by 31% year on year. The insolvency indicator includes both new proceedings and declarations of bankruptcy.

Bulgaria registered 7,968 new legal units in the third quarter of 2026, the National Statistical Institute reported on 16 October.
This was 31% fewer than in the same period of 2025 and 29.7% below the previous quarter.
The insolvency indicator covered 791 units, down 22.1% year on year. It includes both units entering proceedings and those declared bankrupt, so it should not be read as 791 completed bankruptcies.
