The fund could receive an additional 2% of shares for every 50% increase in the company's value above a set baseline. However, each additional allocation is at the board's discretion, and the specific valuation milestones will be disclosed later.
The fund will be a wholly owned limited liability company rather than an independent 501(c)(3) charity. Anthropic lists donations to nonprofits and direct distributions to particular groups as possible uses.
One stated concern is the potential for artificial intelligence to disrupt the labour market. This is a corporate commitment whose governance rules and actual results remain to be announced and assessed.
