Draganovo to honour poet Asen Raztsvetnikov with a recital and musical evening on 30 October

Commemorative events honouring poet Asen Raztsvetnikov will be held on 30 October in the village of Draganovo, in Gorna Oryahovitsa municipality. They mark the upcoming 129th anniversary of his birth, RegNews reports, citing the organisers' programme.

The ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m. beside the relief at the poet's birthplace. Wreaths and flowers will be laid, and pupils from St Clement of Ohrid Primary School will give a poetry recital.

After the official ceremony, the programme continues with a musical evening in the hall of the Saedinenie 1888 community cultural centre. Groups performing traditional urban songs from cultural centres and pensioners' clubs in the Gorna Oryahovitsa area and nearby municipalities will participate. Popular songs based on Raztsvetnikov's poetry will be featured.

Asen Raztsvetnikov was born in Draganovo on 2 November 1897 under the name Asen Kolarov. The events are organised by the Gorna Oryahovitsa Historical Museum and the local community cultural centre.
