On 19 October, the World Health Organization published a training manual for breast cancer programme managers. It is intended to help countries establish or improve the organisation of care.
The modules cover prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment, as well as coordination between specialists and support for patients navigating the health system. WHO highlights the goal of diagnosing at least 60% of new cases at an early stage.
The document is a tool for health programmes, not a new screening rule in Bulgaria. It does not replace individual medical advice.
