The new outpatient clinics in Yantra and Pisarevo, two villages in Gorna Oryahovitsa Municipality, are equipped and expected to start operating within days. The municipality announced this on 9 October 2026 after checking the readiness of both health centres.
The exact schedules have not yet been published. According to the municipality, residents will be informed by the mayors of Yantra and Pisarevo once consultation hours have been set.
Telemedicine and diagnostic equipment
Both centres have a Higo system for remote consultations with specialists and medical examinations at a distance. Other equipment includes a portable electrocardiograph, a pulse oximeter, diagnostic devices, a sterilisation autoclave, a hospital bed, a medical trolley, infusion stands and a stretcher.
Gorna Oryahovitsa Municipality established the clinics through two projects under Bulgaria’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The Ministry of Health provided the equipment and furnishings.
Medical staff have been secured
Paramedic Yuliyan Yordanov will work in Pisarevo while continuing his shifts at the renovated health centre in Strelets. Patients in Yantra will be seen by nurse Desislava Yordanova, head nurse of the regional hospital’s First Internal Medicine Department and a lecturer at Medical University – Varna’s Veliko Tarnovo branch.
The new centres aim to improve access to basic medical care in smaller communities. Until the official schedules are published, residents should follow announcements from the village administrations and Gorna Oryahovitsa Municipality.
