35 years of Veliko Tarnovo University's Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law at St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo celebrated its 35th anniversary with an academic conference on 23 October. The university community also marked 15 years since the founding of DE JURE, the faculty's research journal.

The conference brought together more than 40 lecturers and researchers from law faculties across Bulgaria, alongside representatives of the judiciary, the legal profession and other institutions. Doctoral and undergraduate students also took part, with opportunities to speak directly with legal practitioners and university academics.

According to the Veliko Tarnovo Regional Administration, regional governor Marin Bogomilov was among the official guests. The anniversary also provided an opportunity to recognise the faculty's contribution to educating specialists for the judiciary and legal professions.

Combining the anniversary with research presentations highlighted the academic character of the celebration. The faculty used the occasion not only to look back on its achievements but also to encourage professional exchange between researchers and institutions.

The event also marked the 15th anniversary of DE JURE, a journal in which academics publish research on legal issues. Information about the conference was confirmed by the regional administration and a university announcement carried by the Bulgarian News Agency.
