Svishtov Municipality has announced the launch of a project worth €1,048,148.36 to improve the energy efficiency and functionality of the Vazrazhdane community cultural centre in the village of Balgarsko Slivovo. The municipality published the announcement on October 29 and sent it to the 5000.news newsroom.

The planned works include thermal insulation, replacement windows, new heating and ventilation systems, and solar photovoltaic panels to meet the centre's own electricity needs. Existing lighting fixtures are to be replaced with energy-saving LED lights.

The project also covers interior refurbishment, repairs to shared areas and improved accessibility. A ramp and an accessible restroom are planned on the ground floor.

According to the municipality, funding has been allocated under Bulgaria's State Budget Act. Local officials describe the investment as part of a wider programme to upgrade public buildings in villages across the municipality.

The announcement sets out the planned construction work but gives no specific completion date in the text cited. The renovation should therefore not be described as completed or as having a confirmed final deadline.
