Free flu vaccinations for children under the new national program begin today. GPs will initially have nasal vaccines available, with injectable supplies expected later in October.
Around 47,000 nasal vaccines have been secured. The program covers children aged 2 to 7 inclusive, as well as children with chronic illnesses up to the age of 17.
From 5 October, free COVID-19 vaccinations are also available at selected Regional Health Inspectorate clinics and medical facilities. Parents can check the local arrangements with their GP or the relevant Regional Health Inspectorate.
