President Iliana Iotova is in Veliko Tarnovo today for an official presentation marking 20 years of archaeological research and restoration work on Trapezitsa Hill.

President Iliana Iotova will visit Trapezitsa Hill in Veliko Tarnovo today, 6 October.
The official presentation begins at 11:00. It will showcase the results of the long-term work of archaeologists, architects and restorers on the study and conservation of the historic remains of the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire. The Trapezitsa restoration project began 20 years ago.
The head of state was invited by Bulgarian Academy of Sciences President Corresponding Member Prof. Evelina Slavcheva and the Director of the National Institute of Archaeology with Museum at BAS, Assoc. Prof. Hristo Popov. The event is organised by NAIM-BAS with the support of BAS and Veliko Tarnovo Municipality.
