Twenty people, including three children, were killed in a Russian strike on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia on 10 October. Another 18 people were wounded, Reuters reported in an update citing local authorities.

According to the agency, several locations in the city were hit simultaneously in the early hours. Part of an apartment building was destroyed, and rescue teams searched for people under the rubble.

Attacks continued during the day

Later, a strike on a restaurant in Kyiv wounded seven people. Drones flew over the capital, while a power outage halted the metro for the second time that week, Reuters reported.

Russia said it had struck a data-processing centre in Kyiv and a cargo ship which Moscow said carried military supplies to Odesa. Reuters noted that it could not independently verify a separate claim by Russian-installed authorities in Luhansk about casualties from Ukrainian strikes.
