The Six Little Penguins premieres in Veliko Tarnovo on 7 November

The Konstantin Kisimov Music and Drama Theatre in Veliko Tarnovo is preparing the premiere of the children's production The Six Little Penguins based on a work by Boris Aprilov. The first performance is scheduled for Saturday, 7 November 2026, at 11 a.m. on the main stage, the theatre announced in a press email to our newsroom on 1 November.

The story takes young audiences to the icy South Pole. Six curious little penguins set off on an adventure and encounter a seal who is a circus performer, a walrus who is an old sea captain, an unusual camel and a polar bear. The journey explores friendship and courage through humour, songs and dancing.

Creative team and running time

Stefan Metodiev directs the production, with sets and costumes by Georgi Petrov and music by Petar Atanaschev. The choreography is by Katya Bogdanova. The song lyrics are by Boris Aprilov and Stefan Metodiev.

The performance runs for approximately 50 minutes, according to the theatre's official website. Tickets are available at the box office and through the organiser's designated online sales channels.

The premiere is part of the theatre's 2026/2027 season programme. The performance is scheduled for 7 November, not today, 1 November, when the announcement reached our newsroom.
