Children's Book Donation Campaign Returns to Veliko Tarnovo for a Third Year, Now Including Schools

Veliko Tarnovo. For the third consecutive year, Veliko Tarnovo is hosting the Together We Donate Children's Books campaign. The initiative, organised by the civic association Together We Can Do Everything, began on 30 October 2026 at St Patriarch Evtimiy Primary School. Its aim is to give more children access to suitable books and help them discover reading as part of everyday life.

Primary schools join the campaign this year

Until now, one of the campaign's main goals was to add books to reading corners in Veliko Tarnovo's kindergartens. In 2026, the organisers are expanding its scope to include primary schools for the first time. This brings the initiative to pupils who are already choosing the books they want to read for themselves.

Nearly 10,000 books donated in the previous two editions

According to reports announcing this year's campaign, the first two editions collected nearly 10,000 children's books with the help of donors. During the first edition alone, around 4,000 books reached 25 kindergartens across the municipality.

The campaign highlights reading, sharing books and the active involvement of families, teachers and local volunteers. The announcements reviewed do not confirm a new deadline or specific collection points, so readers should check the organisers' instructions before donating books.
