Sound and Light at Tsarevets on October 31 and November 1 at 6 p.m.

Veliko Tarnovo will mark the end of October and the Day of the National Revival Leaders with two evening performances of the Sound and Light audiovisual show at Tsarevets Fortress. According to the programme's official calendar, performances are scheduled for Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, 2026, both starting at 6:00 p.m.

The illuminated story projected onto the fortifications of Tsarevets combines music, bell sounds and colourful lighting effects. The show depicts key moments in the history of medieval Bulgaria and is one of the former capital's best-known visitor attractions.

Where can visitors watch?

The traditional outdoor viewing location is Tsar Asen I Square in front of the fortress, while tickets are sold for the designated panoramic viewing terrace. Visitors should check the programme's official website for current arrangements and available places, as ticket availability may change.

Sunday's performance falls on November 1, Bulgaria's Day of the National Revival Leaders. Visitors are advised to arrive before the advertised start time and keep an eye on weather conditions.
