Svishtov's Academy of Economics marks 90 years with events from 6 to 11 November

The D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov will mark its 90th anniversary with academic, cultural and public events from 6 to 11 November 2026 The university has published its official programme.

Anniversary concert and tribute to the benefactor

On 6 November at 11:30 a.m. a formal assembly and concert will take place at the Elenka and Kiril D. Avramovi First Bulgarian Community Cultural Centre. On 8 November at 10:30 a.m. the anniversary programme continues with a ceremonial procession from the Rectorate and a tribute at the grave of the benefactor, Dimitar Tsenov. A graduation ceremony for master's degree recipients is also scheduled for that day.

Open day, academic meetings and student festival

On 9 November the Academy will hold an open day titled 'The Academy Up Close'. Proceedings begin at 10 a.m. in the assembly hall, followed by visits to the academic museum, library and teaching facilities. The afternoon includes the 'My Academy' gathering and an introduction to opportunities within the KreativEU university alliance.

The anniversary calendar also includes an international academic conference, a day dedicated to academic heritage and events looking at the future of the economy. The national student festival 'Tastes and Cultures of KreativEU' is scheduled for 10–11 November. Organisers have published separate times and locations for individual events, so visitors are advised to consult the official calendar for updates.
