Veliko Tarnovo Region recorded 292 serious road crashes in 2025, with 16 people killed and 373 injured. The figures are from an NSI report published on 15 October 2026.
There were 1,342 crashes in total, including those involving property damage only — 2.4% more than in 2024. Serious crashes fell by 0.7%.
These are annual figures, not a new incident.
