Woman Airlifted After Crash Near Obedinenie Dies in Hospital

The 76-year-old woman airlifted after a road accident in the Veliko Tarnovo region on October 27 has died in a hospital in Pleven. NOVA and Darik reported the development, citing information about the incident.
The accident happened on Tuesday afternoon between the villages of Obedinenie and Maslarevo in Polski Trambesh municipality. According to initial reports, the car was being driven by a 78-year-old man. The injured woman was flown to hospital for treatment.
The competent authorities are investigating the cause and circumstances of the crash. No conclusions about responsibility or a specific cause should be drawn before official findings are available.
This was a separate incident from the serious collision involving two lorries and a bus between Strahilovo and Maslarevo on October 28. The two incidents should not be conflated in reports on road conditions in the Veliko Tarnovo region.
